David Robertson spent 40 years as a news photographer. In such a work environment he developed an uncanny ability to capture fleeting moments. He now manipulates this experience with patience and extensive research to capture (to the extent anyone is capable) Scotland.

A stag framed in an instant of glorious early morning light, the variations colour of mountain, burn and glen in a single frame or a storm building in her remote islands, each captured in perfect clarity by a seasoned eye.

Should you visit David's own site you will find a lovely treat. He has taken the time write essays, equally fantastic to his photography to support his work, often with maps, pointing you to find on your own what he presents for our collective appreciation.
